Well, since Morgan went to all the trouble of linking here I guess I should put something here about the next RPG I'm going to be running. The campaign is entitled Haven, and it will be using the Pathfinder system. You can look at the wiki for the campaign here. More info after the jump.

Here it is, episode VII of The Evil Writer vs. Star Wars. This one was both more fun and more difficult than previous videos. I'm still trying some new things (used a few sound effects, please tell me if you think they add to the video, and tell me if you like the new color-balanced video instead of the old yellow video). And of course the comic is better this time, which means not as much easy fodder for jokes. Oh well.

It's been a while since I've posted one of these. YES, our twice weekly game of Houses of the Blooded is still going strong here in Knoxville. I've been helped by the fantastic Aaron and Ryan who have been sharing narrator duties with me. So wow, what has happened. Marinus came back from the Invisible world... having made a deal with a mysterious hooded figure. A hooded figure without a name. At least without a name that Ven could speak.

Marinus's deal had come into play many times. When he fell back into a portal to the Invisible World, fighting a creature that the fell lord Ikhalu had sent against him as punishment for his heresy, daring to serve another master... the hooded figure saved him. And when Marinus fell in combat, slain by treachery and vengeance by his fellow lord... the hooded figure saved him. But this last task was difficult, for he was saved from the very brink of death. The hooded figure demanded a sacrifice. "Anything," said Marinus. Read more...Collapse )

It's been a while. I'm not slacking off! I had to redo this video from scratch twice, and then wrestle with the finished product forever. And I'm still not terribly happy with some of the technical glitches, but since it had already taken me three weeks instead of one... I decided to go ahead and post it. Hopefully the hell of the last three weeks won't happen again, so these will be more timely from here on out.

I tried some new things with this video. Some worked, some didn't, but generally I liked it.

The Death of Three Lords

Woe. Woe to the archipelago of Dezinagro. Woe to the noble Ven who dwell in Dezinagro, for this day three of their finest sons have been slain, forever denied the joys of Solace. Woe to the house of Thayl, for it was in the Marquis Deego Thayl's house that these events took place, and the Marquis' son Lord Marinus Thayl was among the dead. Wear the gray, nobles of Dezinagro. For death has occurred this day.

The Marquis Deego Thayl had arrived out of seemingly nowhere to become the most powerful noble on Dezinagro, With the late Count Mirkal Mwrr, Countess Kil'Kuaya Tar'Valkiel, and Count Tatjan Burghe (husband to Lady Lura Yvarai) all swearing fealty to him, Dezinagro suddenly became a power base equal to what he held elsewhere. It was only natural, then, that the Marquis had begun constructing a castle in the lands of the late Count Mwrr. Read more...Collapse )
